Let Freedom Reign!!

A pithy quote which is more than pertinent in our post 9/11 world which has seen governmental desire for greater social control combine with hyper-inflated fears for security allow for the greatest erosion of civil rights to privacy and freedom since the establishment of law.
It is interesting to reflect on how much governments have strayed from the principles of it's founding fathers as to what constitutes a just society. Benjamin Franklin would no doubt be seen as a radical "terrorist" under current U.S. laws, in particular the  HR 1955 titled the Violent Radicalization and Homegrown Terrorism Prevention Act of 2007 , otherwise known as the "Thought Crime Act"which was passed almost unanimously in 2007 and is one of a number of new bills passed post 9/11 that strip citizens of their rights and give the government  inexorable power to detain and otherwise exercise over people for whatever they wish they are opposed to their agenda.

  1. This is a quote that should be well put in mind. The government should respect every citizen's rights and let them enjoy the freedom that they deserve. It should not exercise power whatever they wish over the people. It should create a just society that is free. In such a way people live a happy and contented life.
