Occupy London Swells
Despite starting as a single demonstration in a US financial centre, the "Occupy Wall Street" protests have since spawned a global movement, as citizens of countries across the world came out to voice their frustration with what they deem to be shortfalls with democratic political processes. They are angry at those they perceive to be "corporate criminals", who continued to profit while their alleged misdeeds crashed the planet's interwoven economy, leaving hundreds of thousands unemployed and facing homelessness. In just one such example, several hundred protesters, young and old, have camped out in the inclement London weather since Saturday October 15, turning the churchyard in front of the famed St Paul's Cathedral into a vibrant embodiment of democracy in action. A mass rally on November 5, the 407th anniversary of Guy Fawkes' attempt to blow up the Houses of Parliament - a plot led by Catholic religious extremists intended to strike back against lawmakers who were endorsing the persecution of their religious minority - attracted thousands of protesters.

Occupy Melbourne.. and EVERYWHERE!!!
It's about time this happened!!!
I am in complete solidarity with all of the people around the world who are sick of the inequality and systemic corruption in the economic system and in politics- where big business buys off politicians and has the system rigged so that they are able to make the most profit for themselves possible a the expense of the environment, workers rights, social welfare and equity and the greater good.
Governments have demonstrated that they cannot be trusted to act in the people's interests and must be reminded that they exist to represent and serve the interests and will of the people- not just to stay in power and make money for themselves and their cronies.
The police, too, have demonstrated that they too do not protect and serve the people and are merely a hired good squad to protect the interests of those holding the power [ie. money ] and have, the world over, demonstrated despicable brutality towards people peacefully protesting. Something which is supposedly a "democratic" right.
People can see through the power structures that are primarily in place to protest the position and interests of the "ruling class", and understand the depth of the hypocrisy touted in order to keep people in line, and the morally bankrupt, criminal behaviour it routinely displays to make profits while making people and the environment pay the cost.
It's time for people to take the power back and no longer recognise their "authority" and reclaim our sovereign rights and freedoms as natural human beings.
Now is the time!!!

Egypt Uprising
I find it incredibly powerful and inspiring that the Egyptian people, en mass, are refusing to tolerate the corrupt, totalitarian dictatorship and are peacefully rising up demanding justice and change. They have my full support and empathy.
May this moment in history serve as a lesson to all those abusing power and human rights and committing acts of corruption against the people of the world: Your time, too, will come. The people are the greatest in number, and united will never be defeated.
The world is watching...

Assange Rally Melbourne-10/12/2010
A couple of days after spokesperson for Wikileaks, Julian Assange was arrested over farcical rape charges Melbournites gathered in support of him, and for truth, free speech, government transparency and justice.
Unfortunately 2 separate rallies were held on consecutive days, which resulted in an inaccurate representation of the number of people who showed their support, but nevertheless hundreds gathered each day to express their outrage over his unlawful treatment and the truth of the rotten and corrupt core of world politics that the Wikileaks cables irrefutably revealed.
The Wikileaked diplomatic cables reveal many truths about what is going on that have been veiled in government lies that the major news channels have been complicit in representing. I truly hope that these revelations will precipitate a mass movement of people standing up for truth, accountability and global justice and that will no longer be possible for governments to get away with mass deception and acting against the good of the people for the interests of the few.
Peace
